Bareilly: A review meeting with the departmental officers of the district was held yesterday in the Circuit House under the chairmanship of Minister Women Welfare, Child Development Services and Nutrition Department Baby Rani Maurya.
First of all, in the review meeting, Minister reviewed the progress of welfare schemes and directed all the departmental officers to take action to make the welfare schemes run by the government reach as many people as possible and provide them benefits. There should not be any pending applications / cases in any schemes. He directed the officials of the Child Development and Nutrition Department to get the children vaccinated on time and there should be no negligence in the distribution of nutrition and also to enroll as many children as possible in Anganwadi.
In the meeting, the District Probation Officer informed that in coordination with the District Magistrate, land is being identified in Parataspur located in the development block Bithri Chainpur and action is being taken to build a Government Communication Home (Juvenile) with a capacity of 100.
In the meeting, the District Program Officer in charge informed that 100% utensils for children are available in 2857 Anganwadi centers in the district. (SAM-Severe Acute Malnutrition) 1361 children were suffering from severe acute malnutrition, currently 770 children have been improved. 8634 children were suffering from malnutrition, 5012 children have been improved. Every possible action will be taken to bring the remaining children to the normal category as soon as possible.
On this occasion, the Minister did Annaprashan of four children and also got the Godh Bharai ceremony of four pregnant women done.
Deputy Director Women Welfare Bareilly Division Mahesh Kumar Kandwal, District Probation Officer Monika Rana, In-charge District Program Officer and other related officers were present in the meeting.
